ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The three-year Bachelor's full-time or combined study is primarily intended for those who plan to continue their studies in a subsequent Master's degree programme. Study includes technical subjects which prepare students for direct application in practice. The first two years of study are the same for all students and then you choose your specialization at the relevant department. There you prepare your final Bachelor's thesis. Studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are completed by a state final examination, which includes the defence of your Bachelor's thesis. Graduates from Bachelor's degree programmes are awarded the academic title of Bachelor (abbreviated to Bc. before your name).
You will find your career mainly in engineering companies and in the aviation or automotive industries. You could also work well in business and consulting companies and in state administration. Combining technical education with economic and managerial skills enables our students to solve complex problems in professional practice.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
In a four-year full-time Bachelor's degree, students prepare for a successful career in industry. Graduates’ knowledge is adapted to the requirements of the business sector, especially in the Pilsen, South Bohemian and Karlovy Vary regions. The practical part of the study takes place not only in University laboratories, but also compulsory practice in industrial companies. Study consists of blocks of subjects that teach the student the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, material chemistry, mechanics, quality management, production processes and the basics of business management. Studies also include a language component.
The degree is for a minimum of 20 enrolled students in each specialization. If the capacity is not filled, applicants are offered study in another specialization on the study programme or on the Bachelor's programme "Mechanical Engineering" (so it is not necessary to submit another application for this programme). Studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are completed by a state final examination, which includes the defence of your Bachelor's thesis. Graduates of Bachelor's degree programmes are awarded the academic title of Bachelor (abbreviated to Bc. before your name).
You will be qualified to work as a quality manager, NC machine programmer or designer. However, you could also use your knowledge in many other positions in engineering, such as production technician, professional testing laboratory worker, production manager or in the field of diagnostics of machine tools and forming machines. At the same time, you are also ready to continue your studies with a Master’s degree.
