Nuclear resources

We deal with the construction and calculations of power machines and equipment for nuclear sources.

Our research team is experimentally evaluating the effect of impurities (e.g., deposits on the wand surface or fouling of the spacer grid) on the boiling crisis in the spent fuel storage pool using a non-pressurized fuel wand and wand bundle simulator, monitoring acoustic emissions of different boiling types, or visualizing the flow using PIV. In the context of the flexible operation of the secondary circuit of a nuclear power plant, we address the design of the flow section of the turbomachinery and especially the vibrations induced by the flow. The design and calculation of thermodynamic cycles is also an important part of our research.
