In line with modern energy trends, our research focuses on engineering solutions that take into account energy savings and environmental aspects. Examples include the use of heat pumps and heat storage in the heating industry. We are also looking at the effect of valve dynamics on the lifetime and efficiency of reciprocating compressors, and investigating tunnel wind turbines, particularly in terms of increasing efficiency and understanding and reducing acoustic emissions to make them a suitable part of urban developments. We also develop our own in-house computational codes that are derived for specific devices. These codes are implemented in self-executing software, resulting in a reliable, fast and efficient tool for facility design without the need to perform time-consuming 3D simulation at the conceptual design stage.
