ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR STUDIES IN Follow-up master´s STUDY PROGRAMMES
Applicants for study are accepted without an entrance examination after assessment of previous secondary/university studies and any other activities on the basis of documents received until the available capacity is filled. The first semester of study is conceived as an extended admission procedure, where applicants demonstrate their ability to study their chosen field at the University.

Conditions for Admission
The condition for admission to study in the follow-up master's study program is the achievement of secondary education with a school-leaving examination and a duly completed university study (state final examination) in any study program, ideally of a technical focus. (Section 48, Paragraph 1 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., On Higher Education Institutions).
Within the deadline you must:
1. Submit your application
2. Pay an administrative fee
3. Deliver the required documents to the Faculty Study Department
Applicants are admitted without an entrance exam.
SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION
The admission procedure begins with the delivery of the application.
The applicant will deliver the application by filling out an electronic form (e-application). After delivery of the application, the applicant will receive an automatically generated confirmation e-mail. All required information must be filled in the application. The foreigner is obliged to state his / her residence in the Czech Republic. The applicant will complete his / her previous / current university studies.
The deadline for submitting your application is 31. 5. 2026 for the 1st round and 3. 8. 2026 for the 2nd round.
PAYING THE ADMINISTRATION FEE
A condition for accepting and registering your application is the payment of an administration fee of CZK 750 which is non-refundable at any stage of the admission procedure.
The fee can be paid by bank transfer, in cash at a bank or at the UWB cash office, or by bank draft.

After payment is confirmed, the fee is paired with the application and you will receive an automatically generated confirmation email. This document is then only required if an incorrectly entered payment needs to be traced.
In the case of applications not paid by the set deadline, the Dean will stop the admission procedure.
The due date of the fee (i.e. matching the payment with the application) is 24. 4. 2026 for the 1st round and 7. 8. 2026 for the 2nd round.
The required attachments to the electronic/paper application must be delivered in person or by post to the Study Department within the deadline.

You are required to provide:
1) evidence of previous study, if requested
2) proof of payment of the administrative fee, if the payment was made by entering other than the prescribed payment details
3) proof of knowledge of Czech/passing the Czech language exam - required level B1, if you are non-Czech without permanent residence (not required of citizens of the Slovak Republic)
4) a copy of your passport with personal data.
If you are not Czech and do not have permanent residence in the Czech Republic, the Faculty does not require a medical certificate or confirmation from your employer. However, there is space to mention any specific educational needs (due to disability, dyslexia, etc.) in your e-application and support this with a medical report. Subsequently, you will be contacted by the relevant department with an offer of study assistance.

NOTIFICATION OF THE RESULTS OF THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the UWB in Pilsen decides on your admission to the study programme.
The result of the admissions procedure will be available in the e-Application system (Admission Information) no later than the second working day following the date of verification of compliance with the prescribed conditions for admission to study.
After the decision is announced, you have the right to inspect the file (Act No. 111/1998 Coll., On Higher Education Institutions, § 50 para. 5), on 29. 6. 2026 at the Study Department of the Faculty (door UV 211) during office hours 7:30 - 11:00 and 12:30 - 14:30.
The official decision on admission/non-admission/termination of the admissions procedure will be issued by the faculty within 30 days of the assessment of the application and will be published electronically by uploading it to the e-Application system (Documents) in the form of a PDF file with the electronic signature of the Dean. Admitted applicants will find enrollment instructions in the same place. Applicants are notified of the upload of the document via an automatic notification sent to their contact e-mail address.
An applicant may appeal against the issued decision within 15 days from the date of its notification (Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions, Section 50(6)). The appeal shall be submitted to the Rector of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen through the faculty’s study department.
